Pow’s Tanto Triggers offer the warmth of mittens with the added dexterity of a separated index finger. Like all of Pow’s leather gloves, the Tanto Triggers use locally sourced goatskin leather throughout the palm, thumb, and part of the back panel, for one of the most comfortable pairs of mittens I’ve worn. Hipora inserts help keep hands dry and Primaloft provides the insulation. My hands get cold fairly easily, and I’ve yet put these mittens to the super cold test. I’m not sure if they’ll keep my hands warm on a ten degree day, but they’ve kept me warm, dry, and comfortable on days when temps ranged from twenty to forty degrees. No doubt, I’ll test how they do on a ten degree day, when even the warmest gloves tend to fall short for me. I like to use wrist leashes, but making them optional and easily removable is a nice touch. The fitted neoprene cuff is thin enough to fit under everything from a full jacket to a flannel shirt cuff, making for a great mitten from deep winter to spring. I really like everything about the Tanto Triggers, and I knew the first time I tried them on that they’d be my go-to mittens.
